In 1990, I spent
about 6 months living in Buenos Aires. During this time, I took
the opportunity to study Spanish in Oh Español.
My teacher was Ms. Olga Colella.
I have an honours degree in English literature from the University
of
Toronto and a Bachelor of Education from Queen's University. I have
taught academic English for over 10 years, and English as a Second
Language for an equal length of time. I am currently teaching ESL
for the Toronto Catholic School Board. As a teacher who is committed
to teaching others and who also loves language and literature, I
am in a good position to recognize those qualities in another. Ms.
Olga Colella possesses those qualities in abundance. She is sensitive
to the character and needs of her students. She possesses a high
degree of intelligence and humor. She loves teaching and she loves
her language and its literature. If you are fortunate to have her
as a teacher, you could not have made a better choice. I recommend
her highly and without reservation.
Yours sincerely,
William Sipprell |

Oh Español
is an excellent school , with a strong emphasis on comprehension
and speaking. They use everyday objects and practical situations
to teach the basics so that students can get a sense of mastery
right away. Their classes are fun and I always looked forward to
attending. What's more, within two weeks, I was able to hold simple
conversations in Spanish, much to the delight of my Argentine friends!
Thanks again and I hope to continue our lessons next year!
